Doukhobor Beach

About Doukhobor Beach

A local favourite on the Kettle River, Doukhobor Beach is a relaxed riverside spot where visitors can enjoy the warm summer weather, cool off in the river and experience one of Grand Forks’ quieter natural swimming areas, complete with a rope swing hanging off the rail rail bridge. The beach takes its name from the Doukhobor community that historically owned the surrounding property.

How to get there:
Doukhobor Beach is located along the Kettle River west of Grand Forks. It is a local, informal river-access spot rather than a formally developed provincial or municipal beach. Access to the trail is either along the Columbia and Western Rail Trail, directly under the bridge where it crosses the Kettle River. There is a small informal pullout . parking area at the end of Popoff Rd. after you right off Darcy Rd.
