About Gilpin Grasslands
Swap the city streets for wide-open grassland. Gilpin Grasslands Provincial Park sits about 9 km east of Grand Forks along Highway 3, protecting a distinctive grassland ecosystem and important habitat for bighorn sheep and other wildlife. There are several trails for hiking and mountain biking, including the 5 km Bundschuh/Larry’s Trail, with views across the Kettle River valley and plenty of opportunities for wildlife and wildflower spotting.
